Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Buck Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Eibner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Eibner is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buck Wild!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brett Eibner!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eibner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wild paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Eibner slips under a jab from Wild.
Wild misses with an uppercut.
Eibner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Eibner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wild.
Wild drops Eibner with a nice combination! Wild dives into Eibner's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Brett Eibner has been cut.
Wild is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Eibner trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Eibner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wild's guard.
Eibner throws a big right hand that misses.

Eibner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wild swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Eibner wants to control from the top but Wild keeps moving.
Wild looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Eibner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Eibner closes the distance and clinches up with Wild, looking for a takedown. Eibner pushes Wild against the cage but Wild circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eibner looks gassed!
Eibner missing with a left hand there. Wild was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wild tries to bum rush Eibner with a series of wild strikes but Eibner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wild moves out of range as Eibner strikes.
Wild wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Eibner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wild sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Eibner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wild's waist but Wild gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eibner off to one side.
Wild misses with a combination

and Eibner moves into the clinch.
Wild wants to break the clinch but can't.

Eibner has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Wild is trying to keep an underhook but Eibner manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Eibner seems to be working for a kimura but Wild defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wild is trying to stand back up but Eibner is controlling him

Eibner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wild knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Eibner lands with a punch from half guard.
Eibner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Eibner is looking for a kimura here.
Wild pushes Eibner off looking to stand but Eibner dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wild swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wild lands with a hook. Eibner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wild ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Eibner moves away.
Eibner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wild.
Eibner misses with a looping right.
Wild throws a series of punches but Eibner moves out of range.
Wild swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wild scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wild connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Eibner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Eibner stands and throws Wild's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Eibner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wild keeps working.
Wild is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Eibner is controlling him well.

Eibner works to advance to full mount. Wild defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Eibner unloads with some shots from mount but Wild bucks and avoids them well.
Wild is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wild misses with a hook.
Buck Wild is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wild uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eibner.
Nice jab there from Wild.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wild throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Eibner sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Eibner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Buck Wild has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Eibner.

Eibner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wild.
Wild misses the jab.
Wild ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fighters circling - Eibner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wild is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A jab lands there for Wild.
Wild is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Eibner.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Buck Wild.
I think Wild has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
