Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop throws a sloppy head kick and Reilly moves out of range easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bishop.
Bryan Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bishop fails to land the takedown.
Bishop shoots in but no luck this time.
Ray Reilly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Bishop.
Bishop fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reilly avoids it really well and circles away.
Reilly throws an overhand right that lands on Bishop's shoulder, as Bishop tries to avoid the shot.

Bishop shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reilly pinned against the cage. Reilly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bishop tries to bum rush Reilly with a series of wild strikes but Reilly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Reilly rushes Bishop and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bishop throws a series of punches but Reilly moves out of range.
Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bishop swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bishop misses with a takedown attempt - Reilly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Reilly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Reilly gets caught napping as Bishop dives in and scores a takedown. Reilly manages to retain guard.
Bishop's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Reilly seems keen to control Bishop's posture.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch but Bishop swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bishop rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reilly moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ray Reilly will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Reilly stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reilly wants it to stay on the feet.

Bishop shoots for a double leg takedown but Reilly sprawls well. He's pushed Bishop's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bishop takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Reilly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reilly looks to throw the jab but Bishop is out of range.
Bishop avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Reilly counters with a head kick. That will keep Bishop thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Reilly counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bishop seems to have recovered his senses.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Reilly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bishop feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've been hearing good reports from Reilly's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Reilly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bishop on the side of the head.
Reilly throws a wild body kick that Bishop sees coming a mile off.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Bryan Bishop.
I think Reilly has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
