Lockley comes into the arena with Disney's Gummy Bears Intro (Rus) blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lockley.
Velasquez thows a body shot but no joy.
Velasquez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Velasquez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lockley is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Velasquez lunges at Lockley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lockley's hand.

It looks like Kevin Lockley has been cut.
Lockley looks to land a body kick but Velasquez moved away.
Velasquez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lockley connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Velasquez momentarily.
Velasquez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lockley lands with a hook. Velasquez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Juan Velasquez has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lockley looks to land a body kick but Velasquez moved away.
Lockley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Velasquez swings for the body but Lockley moves out of range.
Lockley connects with a solid leg kick.
Lockley lands a two punch combo.
Velasquez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lockley manages to avoid it.

An inside leg kick from Lockley misses.
Kevin Lockley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Velasquez. Lockley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lockley misses with a kick to the body.

Velasquez throws a hook but Lockley avoids it easily.
Velasquez throws a solid leg kick but Lockley takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Velasquez.
Velasquez connects with a looping right hand.
Velasquez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A punch lands to the side of Velasquez 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lockley throws a right and a left that Velasquez avoids nicely.

Oooooh!!! Velasquez has knocked Lockley down with a huge combo! Velasquez steps away and waves a wobbly Lockley back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Lockley looks to land a combination but Velasquez avoids it well.
Lockley moves out of range of the strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lockley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Velasquez circles away quickly and effectively.

Velasquez lands a big uppercut and Lockley crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lockley looks OK. Velasquez waves Lockley back to his feet!

Lockley is rocked!

Kevin Lockley's cut is getting worse.
Lockley walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Lockley limp body while Velasquez jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Juan Velasquez!
