The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but Demarce swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Demarce swats away the attempt to clinch by Man.
Demarce looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Man connects with a body shot that sends Demarce's belly button to the back.
Demarce dives in for a single leg takedown but Man sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Man is looking to take this one to the mat.

Man turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Man manages to end up in side control.

Man wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Demarce, who protects the arm well.
Demarce wants to get back to his feet but Man drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man tries to score with some ground and pound. Demarce controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Demarce is pushing Man's head away, looking to escape. Man manages to hold on to the position though.
Demarce is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.
Demarce tries to get back to half guard but can't.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Man lands a strong strike to the head of Demarce. That's dazed him! Man looking to finish here. Demarce is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Man lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fu Man!
A pretty intense looking Fu Man took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
