PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Armed Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Harrison's choice of entrance music: Dizzy Rascal - Sirens. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gun. Harrison does a little dance to reset his feet.
Armed Gun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gun counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Gun counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gun throws an overhand right that lands on Harrison's shoulder, as Harrison tries to avoid the shot.
Harrison slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Harrison throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gun closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Harrison crashing to the mat! Harrison uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gun lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Harrison has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Harrison and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Gun looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Harrison throws a shot from downtown. Gun moves away and avoids it.
Harrison throws a series of punches but Gun moves out of range.

Harrison moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

and Gun counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gun has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gun ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Harrison blocks a jab.

Harrison throws out a loose jab but Gun uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gun steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Harrison.

Gun fails to land with a series of punches.
Harrison lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Harrison works over Gun's head and body with a nice combination.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A slapping leg kick lands for Harrison.

Gun throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gun backs away from a small jab... but Harrison lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Gun crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Harrison with a spectacular finish!
