Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Pax!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gilbourne Colan!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colan tests Pax's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pax misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pax throws a sloppy head kick and Colan moves out of range easily.
Colan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pax as he avoids it easily.
Colan avoids the head kick by Pax.
Pax throws a head kick that misses.
Pax throws a sloppy head kick
and Colan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pax's knee momentarily.
A head kick by Pax misses
and Colan counters with a nice uppercut.
Colan moves out of range as Pax throws a body kick.
Colan moves into range and connects with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Colan avoids the head kick by Pax.
Pax misses with a head kick.
Colan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Colan cracks Pax with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pax pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pax throws a lazy head kick
and Colan counters with an inside leg kick.
Pax is breathing heavily.
Pax tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Colan.
Colan tests Pax's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pax is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pax gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Colan points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Pax wakes up just in time to hear Colan thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gilbourne Colan!
