PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheer Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Stout had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Sheer Bum is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stout is looking to clinch but Bum is avoiding it.

Stout shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bum is trying to control but can't.
Bum is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bum has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Stout is on him like a limpet, forcing Bum back against the cage.

Stout turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Stout manages to end up in side control.
Bum is trying to control Stout's posture but Stout avoids it.
Bum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stout wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Stout is putting a hurting on Bum here, landing some big shots from side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stout decides to stand back up. Stout steps back and let's Bum get back to his feet.

Stout shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bum napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bum goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Stout escapes and is now in half guard on top.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stout connects with a nice short shot to Bum's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stout is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bum sees it coming and defends easily.
Stout is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Bum manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sheer Bum will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Bum looks for a takedown but Stout sprawls well.
Stout misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bum tries to clinch but Stout moves out of range.

Stout closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bum did well to prevent Stout getting side control.

Stout seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bum manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stout manages to get himself to full guard.
Stout wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bum is now in half guard.
Stout is staying active underneath Bum, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sheer Bum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
