The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kota tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gongor defends well and Kota ends up having to push Gongor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kota has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gongor after a bit of a struggle.
Kota is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gongor gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rham Kota. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gongor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gongor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kota on his heels. He'll look to pass Kota's guard now, I'm sure.
Gongor wants to stand but Kota is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gongor wants to control from the top but Kota keeps moving.
Gongor is posturing up here but Kota has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Gongor tries to roll out but it's too tight and Gongor has to tap! Slick submission there by Kota!
