PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
White tries to clinch but Storm moves out of range.
White scores with the left hand. Storm knows he should have avoided that one.
Storm ducks under a wild hook from White.
White misses with an uppercut.
Storm throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease.
Storm fails to land the takedown.
Oh, that's a big right hand from White and Storm goes tumbling to the canvas! White follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Storm is rocked!
Storm gets back to full guard.

Storm escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White stopping the sweep attempt from Storm.
White wants to get up but he can't break Storm's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Storm controls White momentarily but White frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Storm is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Storm lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for White!
White can't escape the position.
White's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
White wants to control but Storm is having none of it.
White tries to get back to half guard but can't.
White tries to hold on but Storm postures up.
Storm controlling from mount.

White squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
White tries to reverse the position but Storm maintains control.
Storm unloads with some shots from mount but White bucks and avoids them well.

White defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Storm.
White tries to hold on but Storm postures up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
White is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Storm trying to control but White is having none of it.

Storm swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and White is now in Storm's guard. A big mistake from Storm there, giving up the dominant position!
Storm is breathing heavily.

White wanted to stand there but Storm had control of the position.

Storm is working an open guard so White takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
White throws a combination that misses

and Storm counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Storm.
Storm is pushing down on White's leg trying to pass to half guard. White is fighting to maintain full guard but Storm has managed to sneak the leg through.

Storm is working for a kimura but White is defending it quite comfortably.
Storm prevents White from standing back up.
Storm works his foot free and advances to mount.
White wants to control but Storm is having none of it.

Storm has hold of White's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and White manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
White is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Louis Storm will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

White tries to clinch but fails miserably

White looking to hit a scissor sweep but Storm is one step ahead there.
White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Storm is working for a kimura but White is defending it quite comfortably.

Storm is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. White doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Storm.

White pushes Storm off and gets back to his feet.
White throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Storm rushes White and presses him up against the cage.
White has had enough of the clinch but Storm keeps him there for the moment.
Storm prevents White from breaking the clinch.
Storm keeps control of White as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Storm has White pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. White manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jacob White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Storm stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from White.
White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
