Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henderson Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raoul Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henderson Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raoul Duke!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duke wants it to stay on the feet.
Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duke.
Diaz has his takedown stuffed

and Duke holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Duke breaks from the clinch.
Duke throws a body kick that misses.
Diaz slips a jab and a cross from Duke.
Duke has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Duke paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Duke shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Duke was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Duke working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Duke tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Duke has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Duke misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duke on the ground.

Duke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Diaz is pulling down on Duke's head. It's preventing any offense from Duke, at least for the moment.

Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duke defends well.

Duke seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Raoul Duke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Duke throws the kick towards the body but Diaz avoids it.
Diaz fails with the takedown.
Duke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Diaz is looking to clinch but Duke is avoiding it.
Duke keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Diaz moves out of range of the leg kick from Duke.
Diaz just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz tries to clinch up.

Diaz dives in and grabs Duke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Duke pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henderson Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Diaz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Duke lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Duke.

Duke misses with a takedown attempt - Diaz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duke looks like he's trying to stand up.

Duke has one foot on Diaz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Duke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Diaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Duke.

and Duke counters with a left and a right that stings Diaz.
Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duke as he jumps to the side.
Duke swats away the attempt to clinch by Diaz.
Raoul Duke is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Diaz stuffs the takedown attempt from Duke. Duke gets slowly back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duke fails with the takedown.
Henderson Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Duke scores with a one two! Diaz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Duke has taken the fight to the clinch.

Duke wants the takedown. Diaz is fighting it off but Duke persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Diaz's guard against the cage.
Duke wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Duke postures up in Diaz's guard and throws a big left but Diaz blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Raoul Duke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Duke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
