Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dale McCann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dale McCann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dante Silva!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCann scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McCann misses with a straight left.
Silva takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McCann misses with a combination
and Silva counters with a straight right hand.
McCann fails in his attempt to clinch.
McCann throws a poor cross that misses
and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A big left from Silva misses.
McCann thows a body shot but no joy.
McCann seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Silva scores with a hook to the body. McCann takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCann throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily.
McCann lands an overhand right.
A cross from Silva lands.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by McCann.
Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McCann tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McCann swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've been informed that Silva has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Silva misses with a looping left.
McCann uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.

McCann misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Silva lands with a shot to the body.
McCann avoids a punch combination nicely.
McCann stuns Silva with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
McCann tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Silva checks a leg kick.
A jab lands there for Silva.
McCann takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McCann throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles McCann. McCann circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McCann shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Donk. Silva catches McCann right on the button with a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCann throws a hook but Silva blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
McCann dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage!
Silva takes a swing at McCann's ribcage but misses.
McCann tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McCann misses with a few strikes there.
McCann tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from McCann.
McCann throws a combination that misses
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

McCann is rocked!
Silva throws an uppercut from hell that sends McCann clean off his feet! He's out cold! Silva stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Dante Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
