Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Goliat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Samson Goliat!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goliat closes the distance looking to clinch
and Finch counters with a right hand to the body.

Goliat looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Goliat missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goliat sitting in guard here, content to control.
Goliat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Goliat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Finch works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Goliat's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Goliat decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Finch, up you get!

Goliat shoots in and gets a takedown into Finch's guard.
Goliat sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Finch really is a fat lump.
Finch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goliat is one step ahead there.
Goliat is stalling in the full guard.
It looks like Goliat might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Samson Goliat.
A solid leg kick lands there for Goliat.

Finch gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Finch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goliat is one step ahead there.
Goliat slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Samson Goliat hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Goliat gets a takedown into half guard.

Goliat decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Goliat closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Finch quickly recovers to half guard.
Finch has a hand on Goliat's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Goliat takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Let's hope that Goliat has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Goliat shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Goliat was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Goliat is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Finch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Goliat looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Finch is avoiding damage well.
Goliat advances to mount.
Goliat wants to control the pace but Finch is squirming around nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goliat thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Goliat tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goliat working for a guillotine from mount but Finch is in no mood to give up.
Samson Goliat has got the better of the ground game so far.

Goliat stands up from mount. Strange move.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Goliat.

Goliat wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Finch, who protects the arm well.
Finch is trying to improve his position.
Goliat controlling the position.
Finch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goliat wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Finch avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Goliat.

Goliat is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Finch has escaped the position, nice work there.
Finch is trying to escape the position but Goliat is controlling the position.

Goliat wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Finch, who protects the arm well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Goliat is looking to take a break and control but Finch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Goliat is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Finch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Samson Goliat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Goliat fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Finch to the ground. Goliat is now in Finch's guard.

Goliat stands up from Finch's guard - Goliat perhaps looking for a knockout.

Goliat shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Finch napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Finch is looking for a sweep.

Goliat decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Goliat shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Goliat was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goliat with the ground and pound but Finch regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Finch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Goliat is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Goliat decides to stand and escape the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Goliat changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Finch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sloppy strikes there by Goliat.

Goliat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Finch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Finch tries to improve position but can't.
Goliat passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Finch!

Goliat takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Finch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Goliat thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Goliat really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Finch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Samson Goliat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Goliat has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
