The ref stands the fighters back up. Bill Ferrell wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Ferrell tries to close the distance and clinch but Davies swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ferrell enables Davies to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ferrell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ferrell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ferrell wants it to stay on the feet.

Horrible takedown by Davies or perhaps it was just good defense by Ferrell which made him look bad.

Ferrell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
