Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kiichi Miyazawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walter has chosen Black Sabbath - War Pigs as his entrance music. Mark Walter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Walter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Miyazawa with that takedown attempt.
Walter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miyazawa.
Miyazawa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walter avoids it really well and circles away.
Walter throws a sloppy head kick and Miyazawa moves out of range easily.
Walter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Miyazawa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Walter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kiichi Miyazawa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Walter seems keen to control Miyazawa's posture.
Walter has momentary wrist control but Miyazawa slips an elbow through the middle.

Miyazawa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miyazawa has managed to get both his arms back between Walter's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyazawa postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Walter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Mark Walter will probably get the nod.
That's time! Miyazawa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Walter will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Walter has his foot on Miyazawa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miyazawa works his way back into a safe position though.

Kiichi Miyazawa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Miyazawa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Miyazawa reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Miyazawa taps out! Nice BJJ there by Walter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mark Walter!
In his post fight interview, Mark Walter started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
