PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harlan Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conan Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowe comes to the cage accompanied by Sons of Perdition - Blood In The Valley. Conan Drogo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conan Drogo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Drogo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Drogo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Crowe's sensitive parts.
Drogo misses with a body kick.
Crowe lands a nice hook to Drogo's body. Drogo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Crowe, right into the meat.
Crowe cracks a nice hook into Drogo's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crowe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Harlan Crowe has been cut.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Crowe.
Drogo looks for the body kick but Crowe saw that one coming.
Crowe avoids the head kick by Drogo.
Drogo moves out of range of the leg kick from Crowe.
Drogo misses with a straight left.
Drogo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Drogo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Crowe takes a swing at Drogo's ribcage but misses.
Harlan Crowe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Crowe lands a nice hook to Drogo's body. Drogo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Crowe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Drogo swivels and escapes.
Crowe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Drogo. That did some damage!
Crowe connects with a body shot that sends Drogo's belly button to the back.

Crowe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Drogo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Drogo looks to land a body kick but Crowe moved away.
Drogo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crowe.
Crowe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Drogo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crowe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Crowe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Drogo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crowe lands with an overhand left.

Drogo misses with a wild body shot.
Crowe throws a nice outside leg kick.

Crowe throws the kick towards the body but Drogo avoids it.
Drogo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Crowe.
Drogo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crowe circles away quickly and effectively.
A jab from Crowe does it's job there.

Crowe throws a body punch but Drogo moves out of range.

Drogo throws a low kick, looking for Crowe's leg but Crowe calmly moves out of range.

Some bone on bone action there as Drogo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

A decent looking cross lands there for Crowe.

A chopping leg kick lands by Crowe.
Crowe cracks the inside of Drogo's front leg.
Crowe wants to clinch up but Drogo keeps it at a distance.
Crowe is looking to wear down Drogo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Crowe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crowe moves out of range of the strikes.
Crowe just misses with a punch to the body.
Drogo throws a low kick but Crowe moves out of range easily.
Drogo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Crowe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Drogo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Crowe just misses with a punch to the body.
Drogo throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Drogo counters with a right hand to the body.
Crowe throws the kick towards the body but Drogo avoids it.

Drogo is looking to land body kicks.
Crowe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crowe takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Crowe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crowe just misses with a punch to the body.
Crowe scores with a punch to the head.
Conan Drogo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Crowe thows a body shot but no joy.
Crowe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Drogo was well out of range. Poor timing from Crowe.
Drogo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Drogo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Drogo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Crowe connects with the punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Crowe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Crowe takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Crowe scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

A big right from Drogo misses.
Crowe digs a good hook to Drogo's body.
Crowe bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Drogo might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Crowe has got the better of the exchanges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Crowe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Drogo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Drogo finds Crowe's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Crowe flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Drogo lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Crowe will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Conan Drogo!
A relieved looking Conan Drogo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Harlan Crowe was interviewed post fight and said 'I don't fucking believe this shit...'.
