Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Leigertwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miron Karoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miron Karoa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karoa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leigertwood pinned against the cage. Leigertwood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Leigertwood bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Karoa misses with a takedown attempt - Leigertwood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Leigertwood slaps away a takedown attempt from Karoa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dexter Leigertwood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miron Karoa.
Karoa doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Leigertwood counters with a shoot takedown. Karoa fights it but they end up in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Leigertwood tries to free his leg and advance position but Karoa is retaining full guard.

Karoa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leigertwood defends well.

Leigertwood tries for a kimura but Karoa is defending well.
Leigertwood is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Karoa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Leigertwood has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Karoa is working away from the top position though.

Karoa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leigertwood sees it coming and defends easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Leigertwood's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Karoa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Leigertwood defends it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Dexter Leigertwood will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Leigertwood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Karoa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Karoa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leigertwood but Leigertwood pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Miron Karoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karoa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Leigertwood defends well and Karoa ends up having to push Leigertwood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Leigertwood throws a knee to the head but misses.
Leigertwood lands an uppercut.
Leigertwood tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Leigertwood seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Karoa is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
Karoa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Leigertwood fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Karoa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Horrible takedown by Karoa or perhaps it was just good defense by Leigertwood which made him look bad.

Leigertwood moves in looking to clinch but Karoa pushes him off.

Karoa wants to pass the guard but Leigertwood is defending well.
Leigertwood has his hands clasped together around Karoa's back. He's all about the action.
Leigertwood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Karoa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Karoa's back!

Leigertwood tries to keep control of the position but Karoa is staying busy.

Leigertwood has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Karoa is defending well but eventually Leigertwood manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Karoa has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
