Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JaMarcus Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franky Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russell's entrance music is My Time - Fabolous & Jeremih. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Train has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Russell is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Russell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Train can pounce on him.

Russell feints and as Train raises his hands in defense, Russell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Russell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Train works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Train is looking to stand up but Russell isn't so interested in that idea.

Russell is working for a kimura but Train is defending it quite comfortably.
Train avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Russell.

Russell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Train with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Russell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Train doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Russell.

Train has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Russell is on him like a limpet, forcing Train back against the cage.
Train is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Still in the clinch, Train scores with a nice short uppercut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Train using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Russell has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Train tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Russell avoids it.
Russell wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Russell lands a right hand that snaps the head of Train backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Franky Train will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Franky Train has been cut.
Russell fails with a takedown attempt.
Train throws a sloppy head kick and Russell moves out of range easily.
Russell keeps the fight on the outside.

Train throws a solid leg kick but Russell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Train.

Train throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Russell is trying to break the clinch but Train is controlling him.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Train just misses with a elbow thrown towards Russell's brow.
Russell throws a punch but it's blocked by Train.

Train fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Russell manages to avoid it.

Franky Train showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Train dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Russell. That did some damage!
