The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wauna shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ludvik manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ludvik is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are battling for position here. Wauna manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ludvik is pushing down on Wauna's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wauna is fighting to maintain full guard but Ludvik has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wauna felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Ludvik defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wauna.
Ludvik throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wauna tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ludvik is in Wauna's guard.

Ludvik feints and as Wauna raises his hands in defense, Ludvik changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wauna can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ludvik controls the pace.

Wauna had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ludvik defends it easily.

and Ludvik counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Wauna will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Ludvik counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wauna won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ludvik content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wauna tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ludvik wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wauna is still trying to improve position.
Wauna is breathing heavily.
Ludvik is staying tight to Wauna's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Ludvik thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The referee asks Ludvik politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ludvik prefers to stall for the moment though.
Wauna is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ludvik connects with a decent elbow.
Wauna is trying to escape the position but Ludvik is controlling the position.
Wauna tries to bench press Ludvik off him but Ludvik keeps the position.
Ludvik is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Wauna is trying to escape and Ludvik transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Wauna is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ludvik! Very nice indeed!
