Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Honcho!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honcho tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnston was well out of range. Poor timing from Honcho.
Honcho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Honcho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnston, pushing him back against the cage.
Johnston changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Honcho fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mike Honcho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Honcho rushes Johnston and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Johnston could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Johnston wants a takedown but no success here.

Honcho has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Johnston regains guard immediately.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Honcho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnston works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Johnston keeping moving, preventing Honcho from controlling successfully.
Johnston manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Honcho is trying to escape the mount.
Honcho tries to hold on but Johnston postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Honcho tries to reverse the position but Johnston maintains control.
Honcho swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Honcho keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Honcho tries to hold on but Johnston pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Honcho is wriggling around trying to escape.

Johnston quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Johnston but it's paid off an Honcho is forced to tap! Nice work by Johnston.
