Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phil Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nando De Leeuw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nando De Leeuw !
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris misses with a takedown attempt - De Leeuw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Harris steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from De Leeuw . That one must have hurt.
Harris has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from De Leeuw .
Harris bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps De Leeuw 's head backwards.
De Leeuw on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
De Leeuw buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
De Leeuw ducks under a wild hook from Harris.
De Leeuw avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.
Harris tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Leeuw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harris somewhat.
A nice leg kick lands there from De Leeuw .
De Leeuw throws out a powerful jab.
Harris swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by De Leeuw .
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. De Leeuw checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

De Leeuw fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Harris looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
De Leeuw feints and then cracks Harris's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Harris down.

Harris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Harris is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so De Leeuw is just riding it out for now. Harris eventually gives up the hold.
De Leeuw looks like he's trying to stand up.

Harris is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, De Leeuw has managed to free his arm - good work.

Harris is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from De Leeuw . Harris shrugs it off though.
Harris looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Nando De Leeuw seems to be getting the better of the standup.

De Leeuw scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

De Leeuw has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Harris stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
De Leeuw scores with a kick to the midsection.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Harris looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
De Leeuw takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

De Leeuw lands a nice looking kick to the body. Harris takes a step back to recover.
The fighters circle momentarily. De Leeuw darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Good leg kick by De Leeuw there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Harris takes a swing at De Leeuw 's ribcage but misses.
De Leeuw connects with a leg kick. Harris looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
