PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malygos Northrend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Haukka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Northrend comes to the cage accompanied by Sure shot. Haukka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northrend with a poor takedown

and Haukka holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Haukka throws a knee to the head but misses.

Northrend is breathing heavily.

Haukka turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Haukka manages to end up in side control.
Haukka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Haukka remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Northrend is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haukka is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Northrend's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Haukka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Haukka has Northrend pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Northrend is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Haukka - that's hurt Northrend badly! Oh, another knee lands and Northrend is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Northrend doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Daniel Haukka!
A relieved looking Daniel Haukka thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Malygos Northrend stepped up to the mic, saying 'Lok'tar Ogar'.
