The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weston manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jordan on his heels. He'll look to pass Jordan's guard now, I'm sure.
Jordan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Weston gets to his feet. Jordan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Weston pushes Jordan up against the cage in a clinch.

Weston breaks from the clinch.

Weston shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jordan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Weston defends well.
Jordan controls Weston momentarily but Weston frees himself.

Weston has gone for a leg lock! Jordan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Weston's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Weston's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chris Jordan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Jordan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jordan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Weston to the ground. Jordan is now in Weston's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Jordan was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Weston shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jordan eats them both and turns towards Weston to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Chris Jordan has been cut.

Weston drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jordan is letting Weston control him for a moment.

Weston has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jordan looks to land a body kick but Weston moved away.
Weston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Weston shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jordan's guard.

Jordan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Weston wants to control from the top but Jordan keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Weston stands up and waves to Jordan to follow him.

Weston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Weston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Weston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Weston takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Weston fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jordan sprawls well initially but Weston persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Weston lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That has opened up Chris Jordan's cut even more.

Weston decides to return to a standing position.

Jordan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Weston did well to prevent Jordan getting side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Weston has one foot on Jordan's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Weston.

Weston closes the distance and pushes Jordan back into the cage.

Weston ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Weston no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dakota Weston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jordan looking to sit in guard and control but Weston gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Weston trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Weston slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jordan is working an open guard so Weston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jordan is breathing heavily.

Jordan moves into the clinch successfully.

Jordan has picked Weston up - he's going for a ride! Jordan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Weston manages to get to full guard.

Weston is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jordan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Weston has knocked Jordan down with a huge combo! Weston steps away and waves a wobbly Jordan back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Jordan is rocked!
Weston closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Jordan out cold! Jordan corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
