Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hyun Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kotaro Fuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyun Sudo looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sudo.

Sudo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sudo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fuma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sudo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fuma wants to sweep but no luck.

We've been hearing good reports from Sudo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Sudo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fuma looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fuma tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sudo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sudo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hyun Sudo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

and Sudo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fuma is lucky that one didn't land flush.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Sudo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fuma looks a forlorn figure.
Fuma tries to lock up and control but Sudo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sudo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fuma can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hyun Sudo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sudo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fuma wants to control but Sudo is having none of it.
