Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Lloris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Lloris!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloris shoots in for a takedown but Wilson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lloris tries to clinch there but Wilson circles away.
Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lloris.
Wilson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lloris swivels and escapes.

Wilson gets tackled into the cage by Lloris. Lloris maintains the clinch.
Wilson is pushing Lloris up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Lloris pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Lloris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wilson shoots in and drives through. Lloris sprawls well.
Lloris pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wilson back to the cage. Lloris follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like James Wilson has been cut.

Wilson drives through and clinches with Lloris against the cage.
Wilson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lloris avoids it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lloris is pressed up against the cage. Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lloris down to the mat. Lloris avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wilson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lloris pinned against the cage. Lloris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wilson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lloris tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lloris tries to circle away but Wilson has him pinned against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Lloris.
Lloris putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Wilson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Wilson is breathing heavily.
Wilson tries to pull guard but Lloris won't allow it.
Wilson avoids a wild elbow strike from Lloris.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lloris obliges.
Lloris effectively controlling the action here.

Lloris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lloris struggles to land a body shot inside as Wilson controls his hands.
Wilson is working for takedown but Lloris is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lloris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lloris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Wilson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lloris walks away with a smile on his face. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wilson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lloris stacks Wilson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lloris!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lloris tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lloris pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lloris lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lloris.

Wilson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lloris manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wilson has Lloris in his guard.

Lloris decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lloris as he avoids it easily.
James Wilson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jeremy Lloris is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wilson throws a sloppy head kick and Lloris moves out of range easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Wilson.
I think Lloris has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
