The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padua misses with a two punch combination.
Skrzetuski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Padua throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Skrzetuski.
Padua stuffs the takedown.
Padua swings for the body but Skrzetuski moves out of range.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Skrzetuski tries to bench press Padua off him but Padua keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Skrzetuski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Padua pulls his head out easily.
Padua throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Padua is looking to advance position but Skrzetuski won't allow it.
It looks like Padua is going to stand back up.
Padua throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Padua is pressing down on Skrzetuski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Skrzetuski is holding on for now.
