The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medzakovic leaves Butler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Butler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Medzakovic to score an easy takedown into full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Medzakovic chips away with some ground and pound.
Butler pulls Medzakovic in close to his closed guard and prevents Medzakovic from doing any damage or advancing position.
Medzakovic throwing strikes from guard but Butler blocks nicely.
Medzakovic drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Medzakovic as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Butler screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Medzakovic! Nice submission victory there!
