The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blachowicz scores with a jab.
Blachowicz shoots in and drives through. Calhoun sprawls well.
Blachowicz closes the distance looking to clinch

and Calhoun counters by moving into the clinch.
Blachowicz is trying to break the clinch but Calhoun has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Calhoun's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blachowicz tries to circle away but Calhoun has him pinned against the cage.
Calhoun is pressed up against the cage. Blachowicz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Calhoun down to the mat. Calhoun avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Blachowicz gets a double leg takedown into Calhoun's guard.
Blachowicz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Blachowicz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Calhoun has momentary wrist control but Blachowicz slips an elbow through the middle.
Calhoun controls Blachowicz momentarily but Blachowicz frees himself.

Calhoun is looking for a triangle but Blachowicz pushes his legs off easily.
Calhoun wants to stand up but Blachowicz is controlling him.

Blachowicz has gone for a leg lock! Calhoun slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blachowicz's guard.
Calhoun won't allow Blachowicz to sweep him here.

Blachowicz has his foot on Calhoun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Calhoun works his way back into a safe position though.
Blachowicz wants to sweep but no luck.
Blachowicz is looking to stand up but Calhoun isn't so interested in that idea.

Blachowicz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Calhoun!

Blachowicz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Calhoun manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Blachowicz lands a decent elbow from side control.

Oren Calhoun's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Blachowicz decides to stand back up. Blachowicz steps back and let's Calhoun get back to his feet.
Blachowicz lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Jeez, Oren Calhoun's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Blachowicz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Calhoun is fending him off so far but Blachowicz persists. Nope, Calhoun circles away and we're back to standing.
Oren Calhoun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Blachowicz.

The fighters circle, before Blachowicz throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Calhoun's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Blachowicz lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
