Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Jarvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Gifflick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wyatt Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Gifflick!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gifflick.
Gifflick shoots in for a double leg but Jarvis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Gifflick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gifflick is pressing down on Jarvis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jarvis is holding on for now.
Jarvis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jarvis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jarvis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gifflick is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max Gifflick.

Gifflick has Jarvis pressed against the cage, preventing Jarvis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Gifflick prevents Jarvis from breaking the clinch.
Jarvis jumps guard but Gifflick stands there with Jarvis around his waist. Jarvis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jarvis tries to land knees in the clinch but Gifflick avoids the damage to the body.

Gifflick has Jarvis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gifflick pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jarvis tumbling to the mat - Gifflick dives into Jarvis's guard.

Jarvis wants to control from the top but Gifflick keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Max Gifflick hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gifflick is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jarvis has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Jarvis wants to control but Gifflick is keeping him busy.
Jarvis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Wyatt Jarvis just wasn't active enough.
Gifflick misses with a takedown attempt - Jarvis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jarvis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gifflick, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Max Gifflick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gifflick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jarvis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Max Gifflick wasn't active enough on the ground.
Gifflick closes the distance and clinches up with Jarvis, looking for a takedown. Gifflick pushes Jarvis against the cage but Jarvis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well Gifflick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
