Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brynjard Tristan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Beckenbauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beckenbauer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sander van Doorn - Apple (Marcus Schossow Remix). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tristan slips a jab and a cross from Beckenbauer.
Beckenbauer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tristan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Tristan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Beckenbauer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tristan is one step ahead there.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tristan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tristan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Beckenbauer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tristan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tristan wants to control from the top but Beckenbauer keeps moving.
Beckenbauer wants to sweep here but Tristan controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tristan is desperately trying to improve his position but Beckenbauer has a good base and remains in mount.
Tristan flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Tristan tries to reverse the position but Beckenbauer maintains control.

Beckenbauer stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Beckenbauer is trying to stand up here but Tristan is controlling him well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Beckenbauer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tristan's guard.
Tristan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tristan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Beckenbauer trying to control but Tristan is working from the bottom.
Tristan is trying to control the position but Beckenbauer postures up.
Beckenbauer wants to get up but he can't break Tristan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Beckenbauer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tristan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Beckenbauer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tristan pulls down on the head and he's put Beckenbauer to sleep! This one is all over!
