The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Li takes a swing at Alves 's ribcage but misses.
Li tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alves was well out of range. Poor timing from Li.
Alves fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A looping hook to the body misses from Li. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alves lands a nice leg kick that just misses Li's sensitive parts.
Li throws the left hand but Alves avoids the punch easily.
Alves cracks a nice hook into Li's ribs.
Alves slips under a jab from Li.

Li fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alves to the ground. Li is now in Alves 's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alves is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Li frees his head nicely. Oh but Alves has switched to an armbar! Li is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
