The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones cracks Watson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jones is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
James Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

Jones gets to his feet - Watson follows without any prompting.
Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Watson.
Jones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Watson as he jumps to the side.
Watson throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Watson enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Watson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Watson is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.

Watson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jones manages to pass to side control.
Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Watson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Jones moves to back control.
Jones is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jones gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jones gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jones apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
