Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boy Bawang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitri Yurkov!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bawang swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Yurkov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yurkov.
Bawang is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Yurkov looking to sit in guard and control but Bawang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bawang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yurkov on the ground.

Yurkov pushes Bawang off and gets back to his feet.
Bawang misses with a two punch combination.
Bawang swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Yurkov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Yurkov.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yurkov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bawang walks away with a smile on his face. Yurkov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bawang throws a left and a right that both miss
and Yurkov counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bawang misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bawang throws a nice looking combination but Yurkov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Yurkov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bawang is breathing heavily.
Bawang is pressed up against the cage. Yurkov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bawang down to the mat. Bawang avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bawang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yurkov circles away quickly and effectively.

Yurkov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Yurkov decides to return to a standing position.
Bawang misses with a double jab

and Yurkov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bawang won't be happy with that.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Yurkov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bawang, who protects the arm well.

Yurkov has hold of Bawang's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bawang tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yurkov cranks the arm and Bawang screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bawang, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
