The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biers is looking to clinch but Worner is avoiding it.

Worner gets caught napping as Biers dives in and scores a takedown. Worner manages to retain guard.
Biers throwing strikes from guard but Worner blocks nicely.

Worner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Biers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Biers works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Biers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Worner pushes Biers off looking to stand but Biers dives back in and keeps control.

Biers is trying to work for a kimura but Worner is defending well.
Worner is looking for a sweep. Biers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Biers wants to work for an arm triangle but Worner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Biers seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Worner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Worner manages to break the clinch.
Biers dives in and grabs Worner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Worner pushes down on Biers's head and hops out.
Worner tries to clinch up but Biers circles away and keeps his distance.

Worner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Biers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Worner somewhat.

Worner connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Biers tumbling to the canvas! Worner pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Biers was done - good stoppage!
