Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mar Isa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Isa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nguyen fails in his attempt to clinch.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Isa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nguyen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Isa, into his guard.

Isa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Isa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Nguyen wants to get back to his feet.
Isa throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nguyen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Isa misses with a head shot. Nguyen uses the momentum to regain guard.
Isa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nguyen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Isa's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Nguyen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nguyen keeping moving, preventing Isa from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Isa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Nguyen can't keep his opponent in guard - Isa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Nguyen kicks off Isa and gets to his feet.

Isa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nguyen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Isa off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Isa clinches up with Nguyen and pushes him back against the cage.

Isa is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nguyen can't fight it off and eventually Isa manages to take the fight to the floor. Nguyen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Isa is looking to advance position but Nguyen has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Nguyen throws a knee to the head but misses.

Isa throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nguyen blocks it with crossed arms.

Isa wants the takedown. Nguyen is fighting it off but Isa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nguyen's guard against the cage.
Nguyen will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nguyen is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Nguyen is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Isa throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Isa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nguyen is looking to escape.
Nguyen tries to lock up and control but Isa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Nguyen manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nguyen gets full guard.
Isa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Nguyen manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rob Nguyen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Nguyen tries to close the distance and clinch but Isa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

I would just about give that final round to Mar Isa.
