Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes to the cage accompanied by Spill The Wine - War. Kawajiri is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Water Pow . Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tatsuya Kawajiri!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri misses with a two punch combination.
Kawajiri drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kawajiri lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kawajiri swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Perez throws a body punch but Kawajiri moves out of range.

Perez gets caught flat footed, as Kawajiri shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Perez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Perez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kawajiri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kawajiri manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Perez is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Eternal Evil Training Centre that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

My spies in Evade MMA-LOD inform me that Kawajiri has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Perez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kawajiri is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Perez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kawajiri is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Perez jumps into side control!

A close round but Tatsuya Kawajiri will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Billy Perez.

Perez shoots in for a takedown but Kawajiri shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tatsuya Kawajiri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Perez has momentary wrist control but Kawajiri slips an elbow through the middle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kawajiri unloads with some shots from mount but Perez bucks and avoids them well.

Tatsuya Kawajiri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kawajiri winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
