The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buma shoots in and gets a takedown into Hendricks's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hendricks wants to stand but Buma is controlling the position.

Hendricks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Buma is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hendricks defends it well.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jan Buma hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Buma keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Buma wants to clinch up but Hendricks keeps it at a distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hendricks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Buma counters by clinching up.
Hendricks gets control of Buma's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hendricks will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Buma has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hendricks is defending well but eventually Buma manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hendricks has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
