Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Six Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bigbird Blast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shooter's entrance music is DJ Antoine - Ma Cherie. A fine choice. Six Shooter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Six Shooter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bigbird Blast!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blast, as that shot connected.
It looks like Six Shooter has been cut.
Blast shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Blast lands a glancing blow to the side of Shooter's head.
Blast throws a nice looking combination but Shooter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Blast throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blast fails to land with a series of punches.
We've been hearing reports that Shooter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bigbird Blast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blast motions for Shooter to come forward. Blast throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Blast throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shooter counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shooter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blast but Blast pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Blast with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Shooter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blast bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shooter's head backwards.
No luck for Shooter with that takedown attempt.
Blast has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shooter is landing a low percentage of strikes.
No joy there for Blast, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blast works over Shooter's head and body with a nice combination.
Bigbird Blast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blast avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shooter tries to clinch up
and Blast counters with a one-two to the body.
Blast lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Blast.
Shooter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shooter is trying to pull guard but Blast turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Six Shooter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Shooter looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Blast is defending well. Shooter quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Blast has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shooter celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Six Shooter!
An out of breath and clearly excited Six Shooter thanked Resistance for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
