The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunderson shoots in but no luck this time.
Lightning misses the jab.
Horrible takedown by Gunderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Lightning which made him look bad.
A thudding body kick lands there by Lightning!
No luck for Gunderson with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Happy Gunderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lightning throws a head kick but Gunderson moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gunderson.
Gunderson blocks a head kick by Lightning.

Lightning lands a high kick to the side of Gunderson's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Lightning dives into guard, looking to finish.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lightning wanted to stand there but Gunderson had control of the position.
Lightning is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
