Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Cottero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Queen's choice of entrance music: Fat Joe - Money Over Bitches [Feat Too $hort & TA]. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Cottero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oliver Queen!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queen tries to move into range but Cottero moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've been informed that Queen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Cottero avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Cottero feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Queen's calf.
A nice inside leg kick there by Queen. That's going to slow Cottero down.
Queen lands with a good body shot.
Queen moves out of range of the body kick from Cottero.
Queen throws a leg kick but Cottero sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cottero digs a good body shot into Queen's ribs.
Queen lands a glancing blow to the side of Cottero's head.
Cottero just misses with a punch to the body.
Cottero jabs Queen to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Cottero clinches up with Queen and pushes him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Queen can't find room to land a body shot as Cottero controls the action.
Queen pushes Cottero back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Queen is trying to stall.

Cottero breaks from the clinch.
Cottero takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Queen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cottero manages to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Queen lands a glancing blow to the side of Cottero's head.
Cottero swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Queen tries a head kick but it misses.
Cottero takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Queen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Queen missing with a left hand there. Cottero was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Queen counters with a single leg into guard. Cottero didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Queen stopping the sweep attempt from Cottero.
Queen trying to control but Cottero is working from the bottom.
Cottero is trying to keep Queen in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cottero looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Queen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cottero is looking to stand up but Queen isn't so interested in that idea.
Queen landing some decent shots from guard.
Cottero keeping moving, preventing Queen from controlling successfully.
Cottero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cottero wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Cottero utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Cottero is trying to hold Queen in close to prevent damage but Queen has managed to pass into half guard.
Cottero is looking to improve his position.
Queen trying to mount his opponent but Cottero defends it.
Cottero blocking the ground and pound attempt from Queen.
Cottero is not content to let Queen control the position.
Cottero slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cottero controls Queen momentarily but Queen frees himself.
Cottero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Queen is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Queen showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Queen trying to control the position from guard on top but Cottero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Oliver Queen has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Cottero tries to work over Queen's front leg with a kick but Queen checks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Queen lands a head kick. Cottero smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Cottero swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cottero shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliver Queen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Queen thows a leg kick but Cottero checks it
and Cottero counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A head kick misses from Cottero.
Cottero fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Queen is out of range.
Cottero fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Queen.
Queen lands a jab to the nose.
Queen looks to land a right hand but Cottero moved out of range.
Queen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Queen with a jab.
Queen has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Queen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cottero.
Cottero throws a nice inside leg kick.
Queen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cottero takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Queen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Queen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Queen feints and then cracks Cottero's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cottero down.
Cottero takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cottero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice jab there from Cottero.
Queen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cottero connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Queen scrambles back to his feet.
Queen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cottero.
Cottero throws a head kick but Queen moves out of range.
Cottero scores with a jab to the body.
Cottero tries a low kick but Queen avoids it.
A nice combination there by Queen.
Cottero tries to land a front kick but Queen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Queen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Queen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Queen slips a jab from Cottero.
Queen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


Cottero is rocked!
Cottero looks to land a left hand but Queen moved out of range nicely.
Nice shot lands for Queen.
Oh Cottero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! Queen uses the oldest trick in the book to send Cottero tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Queen is absolutely delighted - when Cottero wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Oliver Queen!
An out of breath Oliver Queen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
