The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fayden moves into the clinch successfully.
Irwin is pressed up against the cage. Fayden has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Irwin down to the mat. Irwin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fayden uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Irwin.

Irwin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fayden has time to react.

Alex Irwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fayden ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fayden no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The fighters circle momentarily. Fayden darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Fayden drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Irwin gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fayden lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Fayden is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Irwin is trying to escape and Fayden transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Irwin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fayden! Very nice indeed!
