The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brady shoots in but Kade avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kade has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Rio in the buildup to the fight.
Kade checks a leg kick.
Kade misses with a series of wild punches.
Kade swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kade throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kade tries to bum rush Brady with a series of wild strikes but Brady uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kade moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Brady dodges the punch combination from Kade.
Kade lands with a straight right. Brady didn't see that one coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Brady scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brady has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Brady jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kade manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Brady is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kade knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Brady is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kade's shoulder. That is not cool.

Brady tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brady has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brady remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Brady wants to control but Kade is keeping him busy.

Brady is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kade looks calm but he's in trouble here. Brady gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kade is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Brady lets go of the hold and Kade can pop his arm back in it's socket.
