The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mamba closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Punisher to the mat! Punisher manages to get full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mamba chips away with some ground and pound.
Mamba is stalling in the full guard.
Punisher avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mamba slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Mamba throwing strikes but missing.
Mamba works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Well, if Mamba is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mamba looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Punisher is looking for a sweep. Mamba is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Punisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mamba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bobby Mamba.
Mamba misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mamba is defended easily by Punisher.

Mamba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mamba is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Punisher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Punisher wants to control but Mamba postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mamba is staying tight to Punisher's torso, preventing him from escaping.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mamba works to advance to full mount. Punisher defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Mamba has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Punisher is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mamba yanks on the arm and Punisher is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mamba.
