Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesus Harvey is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Harvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Cook!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook with a poor takedown

and Harvey counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Cook changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Harvey fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Harvey counters with a straight right hand.

Cook tries to buck Harvey off but Harvey is having none of it.

Cook is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Harvey pulls his head out easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Cook misses with a takedown

and Harvey counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Harvey throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cook blocks it with crossed arms.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harvey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cook has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harvey has managed to get both his arms back between Cook's legs - danger averted.

Cook tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Harvey wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Harvey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harvey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Harvey is trying to work for a kimura but Cook is defending well.
Cook tries to get to full guard but Harvey has control of the leg.
Cook is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cook slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cook striking off his back but it's not causing Harvey any problems.

Cook lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harvey!

Cook fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cook is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Harvey sees it coming and defends easily.
Cook is thwarting Harvey's attempts to control the position.

Cook lands strikes from half guard.

Cook looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Harvey has one foot on Cook's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

and Harvey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cook keeps control of Harvey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Harvey jumps into guard, dragging Cook to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jesus Harvey will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Cook has Harvey pressed against the cage, preventing Harvey from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Cook is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The referee is keeping an eye on Harvey - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Harvey is trying to break the clinch but Cook has him pressed against the cage.

Cook tries to pull guard but Harvey holds him up against the cage and eventually Cook drops back down to his feet.
Cook is trying to drag Harvey to the mat but Harvey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Harvey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Harvey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Harvey looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Cook is defending well. Harvey quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Cook has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Harvey celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
