The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Young throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Young gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Jacobs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Young sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Jacobs moves into the clinch successfully.

Jacobs gets tackled into the cage by Young. Young maintains the clinch.

Young is looking to control Jacobs's arms but Jacobs gets an underhook and turns him. Now Young has his back to the cage.

Young lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Young swats away the attempt to clinch by Jacobs.

Jacobs throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Young takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Young is still on wobbly legs! Can Jacobs finish him?
Jacobs throws a leg kick which misses Young's front leg but catches the back leg as Young tries to avoid it.
Young takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Young seems to have recovered his senses.
Young throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Young swinging wildly here.
Jacobs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Young moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jacobs throws a nice looking combination but Young bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Young throws a series of punches but Jacobs moves out of range.
Young throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jacobs.
Young takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jacobs dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jacobs lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Franky Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacobs lands an overhand right.
A combination from Young does no damage.
Young fails to land with a series of punches.
Jacobs pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Young back to the cage. Jacobs follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

An out of breath Peter Jacobs thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
