The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Topmaia's guard.
Topmaia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shamrock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Topmaia wants to get back to his feet but Shamrock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Topmaia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shamrock defends it easily.

Shamrock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Topmaia's head.
Topmaia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shamrock is aware though and is defending well.
Shamrock makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Shamrock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Topmaia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Topmaia has his feet on Shamrock's thighs here. He's pushed Shamrock off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Shamrock screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
