Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Domingo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has chosen Don't Worry, Be Happy! as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Domingo Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Miller!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Perez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Miller gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Miller throws a wild body kick that Perez sees coming a mile off.
Perez swings for the body but Miller moves out of range.
Perez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Perez connects with a leg kick. Miller looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Miller counters with a series of strikes. Perez will be more careful next time no doubt.
Perez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Miller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perez was well out of range. Poor timing from Miller.
Perez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Miller.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Donk. Miller catches Perez right on the button with a cross.
Miller takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Miller has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Perez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miller in particular looking to stall.

Miller is looking to take a break and control but Perez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Miller tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miller has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Miller is pushing down on Perez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Perez is fighting to maintain full guard but Miller has managed to sneak the leg through.

Perez wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Perez is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Miller thows a huge punch but Perez dodges it nicely.

Perez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miller manages to avoid it.
Miller scores with the left hand. Perez knows he should have avoided that one.

Miller shoots in for a double leg but Perez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Domingo Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez just misses with a punch to the body.

Miller drives through with a takedown into Perez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Miller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miller has managed to get both his arms back between Perez's legs - danger averted.

Perez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miller defends well.

Perez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Miller tries to land a front kick but Perez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Miller makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Miller is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Perez rather than just go for the knockout.
Miller connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Perez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Miller.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Perez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Miller.
Domingo Perez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Miller lands with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller feints and then cracks Perez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perez down.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Hugo Miller.
I've got Miller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Hugo Miller tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
