Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers Jr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rogers Jr misses with a punch to the body.
Black goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rogers Jr prevents it.

Black fails to pull guard.

Black tries to pull guard but Rogers Jr forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gol D Rogers Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Black.
Black wants to get back to striking at distance but Rogers Jr won't allow it.
Come on Rogers Jr - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gol D Rogers Jr.
Black showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rogers Jr.
Black shoots in for a double leg but Rogers Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Black has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Rogers Jr loads up on a big right hand but Black slips the punch.
Rogers Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Black tries to keep at a distance but Rogers Jr has taken the fight into the clinch.

Black is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rogers Jr is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Black to the mat. Black regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Rogers Jr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Black has his foot on Rogers Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogers Jr works his way back into a safe position though.

Black escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rogers Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Black looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Black is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rogers Jr is aware though and is defending well.
Rogers Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Black on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rogers Jr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Black escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rogers Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rogers Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Black has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rogers Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Black's legs - danger averted.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rogers Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rogers Jr showed some decent athleticism there.

Black moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Black is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rogers Jr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rogers Jr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Black has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rogers Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Black is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rogers Jr has his hands clasped together but Black extends and breaks Rogers Jr's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Black.
