Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Holeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ellhnas Asos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Spartan Grunt. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronnie Holeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ellhnas Asos!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holeman blocks a jab.

Holeman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Holeman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Asos is looking to escape.
Holeman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ronnie Holeman wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Holeman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Asos.
Asos throws a shot from downtown. Holeman moves away and avoids it.
Asos throws a hook but Holeman avoids it easily.
Asos tries to clinch there but Holeman circles away.
Asos throws a hook to the side of Holeman's head but Holeman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Holeman tries a head kick but it misses.

Holeman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Holeman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Asos's shoulder. That is not cool.
Asos is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holeman moves into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Holeman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Asos for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ronnie Holeman.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Holeman is pushing down on Asos's leg trying to pass to half guard. Asos is fighting to maintain full guard but Holeman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Holeman swats away the attempt to clinch by Asos.
Ellhnas Asos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asos misses with an uppercut. Holeman saw that one coming.

Holeman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Asos to the ground. Holeman is now in Asos's guard.

Holeman doesn't manage to clinch there - Asos circles away.

Asos throws a looping overhand right but Holeman ducks down to avoid it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Asos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Asos wants to clinch.

Holeman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Asos's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Asos is looking to clinch but Holeman is avoiding it.
Asos misses the jab.
Holeman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Asos can do to turn this around?
Holeman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Holeman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Asos is trying to stand.
Holeman is taking a breather. Asos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Asos pushes Holeman off looking to stand but Holeman dives back in and keeps control.

Holeman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Asos throws a big shot that misses.

Holeman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holeman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Asos tries to buck Holeman off but Holeman takes his back!
Holeman has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Asos's body.

Holeman controlling the position well here. Asos rolled but Holeman kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
