Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Zeus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wangu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wangu's choice of entrance music: Lux Aeterna (go to 3:21). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wangu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Zeus wants to control from the top but Wangu keeps moving.
Wangu is adopting a defensive guard.
Wangu controls Zeus momentarily but Zeus frees himself.
Zeus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wangu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sam Wangu wasn't active enough on the ground.
Wangu looks to land a combination but Zeus avoids it well.

Zeus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Zeus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wangu tries to bum rush Zeus with a series of wild strikes but Zeus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Zeus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wangu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zeus smiles and moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wangu is trying to force a seperation but Zeus has the dominant position.

Zeus pulls guard effortlessly.
Wangu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Zeus seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Zeus is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wangu defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Wangu is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Zeus gets his way!

Zeus rushes Wangu and presses him up against the cage.
Wangu pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Wangu has a couple of punches blocked by Zeus.

Zeus has picked Wangu up - he's going for a ride! Zeus dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Zeus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wangu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zeus is in Wangu's guard.

Zeus is taking a breather. Wangu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Zeus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
