Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thomas L (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Irwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irwin has chosen Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from L.
Irwin looks for a takedown but L sprawls well.
Irwin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Thomas L seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
L misses with a takedown attempt - Irwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
L lands a jab to Irwin's midsection.
L lands with an uppercut that bounces Irwin off the cage and back into rage.
Irwin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with L but L pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thomas L has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Irwin.
Irwin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
L shoots in but no luck this time.
L closes the distance and lands a one-two.
L tries to clinch but Irwin moves out of range.

and Irwin counters with a stiff right hand.

L shoots in and drives through. Irwin sprawls well.
L throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Irwin's waist but Irwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing L off to one side.
L tries for a takedown but Irwin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
L fails with the takedown.
Irwin steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from L. That one must have hurt.
L is breathing heavily.
L stuffs the takedown.
L wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
L tries for a takedown but Irwin circles away easily
and Irwin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for L!
Irwin connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

L is rocked!
Irwin is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Oh L is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

L is in a horrible position here. Irwin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Irwin lands a big shot there that rocks L but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Irwin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Irwin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Irwin.
Irwin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and L is now in Irwin's guard. A big mistake from Irwin there, giving up the dominant position!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Irwin can do anything to dispel that myth.

L stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Irwin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from L.
L lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Irwin backs up against the cage.
L doesn't manage to clinch there - Irwin circles away.
Irwin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Irwin counters with a left and a right... And another left! L is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Irwin!
